Tips for A Healthier You
A few people have asked me about weight loss tips so I figured I’d just make a page devoted to them.
At the moment I live at home so I haven’t drastically changed my diet, but I have done a lot of research and know quite a bit from talking to people and personal experience. So here it goes.

- As well as exercising regularly and just making basic healthy choices like walking instead of driving, taking the stairs instead of the lift and the obvious I change how I eat.
- If you use a smaller plate it looks like you have more food, you fool other people and your mind.
- If you have a desperate need for chocolate or the like have some, but break whatever you were going to eat in half. Share it with someone and you’ll even get a smile :)
- Air popped popcorn is 100 times better for you / less fatty than any other popcorn or chips.
- Splurge on fruit & vegies. But don’t go overboard, apples for example, have a lot of carbs whereas other things like celery you essentially burn off any weight you’d gain just by eating them.
- If you aren’t a vegie fan try dipping them in hummous, peanut butter or something similar.
- Drink a lot of water. Drinking two glasses of water before dinner will mean you end up eating less over all.
- Try not to eat anything after 9pm, it’s unlikely you’ll do enough moving around to work ANY of it off and it will all go straight into body fat.
- If you want to look better you have to tone as well as lose weight.
- Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. Do it.
